Our Story
Epsilon Nu Zeta Chapter, A Florida Premier Chapter, was chartered in Leesburg, FL in 1970 by a group of ladies who had a strong commitment to education and a zeal for service to others. However, life happened and the chapter became inactive. In 2019, the chapter was rechartered.
Today, members continue that zeal for transforming the lives of others through Zeta’s Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) initiatives. The Chapter has specifically focused on Adopt-a-School, Elder Care, March of Dimes -- March for Babies, Domestic Violence Initiatives, the American Cancer Society -- Making Strides for Breast Cancer Awareness, St. Jude, GetEngaged Social Action, Micah’s Voice, and Women’s Veterans Rock.
Since 2019, Epsilon Nu Zeta Chapter has developed partnerships within the City of Leesburg, the City of Eustis and the City of Tavares. The Haven of Lake & Sumter Counties, Inc., Beverly Shores Elementary School, Carver Middle School, Macedonia Church of the Living God, Gethsemane Baptist Church, Tricity Branch of the NAACP, The Gardens of Tavares Assisted Living Facility, Infinity at Lake Eustis Assisted Living Facility, and the City of Leesburg Police Department.
The Chapter continues to explore opportunities where it can make a difference in the lives of those within its service area and beyond.
Florida Premier Chapter Guidelines
(WHO) History:
Zeta Chapters and its Auxiliaries in the state of Florida have given countless hours of voluntary service to educate the public, assist youth, provide scholarships, and support other organizations. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is a leader in the area of philanthropy.
(WHY) What is a Florida Premier Chapter:
The Florida Premier Chapter Initiative is designed to recognize exemplary service that Florida graduate chapters provide to the residents of the State of Florida based on the National Programmatic Thrust, inclusive of support provided to accomplish the goals of the Southeastern Region.
